About OrthoViewMeridian Technique Limited, a UK based company, developed and launched OrthoView, an orthopaedic digital planning and templating solution in 2002. In 2006, OrthoView LLC was formed to support business development in North America. The innovative software allows orthopaedic surgeons to pre-operatively plan and template surgical procedures on-screen. Traditionally, surgeons plan surgery using X-ray films. As hospitals throughout the world start to phase out film X-rays and introduce digital images, OrthoView not only allows the surgeon to continue planning surgical procedures but can also make the process quicker, easier and more accurate. In the past 5 years, Meridian has secured contracts with many of the global PACS companies to supply OrthoView as part of their offer when installing digital imaging systems into hospitals. As a result, OrthoView is now being installed throughout UK, Europe, US, Canada, Australia and the Far East. In a short space of time, OrthoView has become the most widely used planning and templating solution in the world. |
When PACS was introduced to my hospital, I lost the ability to do my normal pre-operative templating for joint replacements. OrthoView has restored this function and more.
